Hi Guys Just seen Brian with his new lineup at the Peel, Kingston upon Thames, UK. The band was great, my girl friend, Liz who is a bigger Genesis fan than I am and myself enjoyed all the music, the light show and theatricals were spectacular. Hi Crawlers, Farnham Maltings 14th November 2009.... Absolutely bloody brilliant!! 🙂 See here on Krissy's Turn It On Again Genesis forum: http://genesisgts.conforums.com/index.cgi?board=tribbands&num=1247921622&action=display&start=45 And also this thread: http://genesisgts.conforums.com/index.cgi?board=music&action=display&num=1258808085 I've always been a Gabrielite and was disappointed in 1976 when I saw Genesis at the Glasgow Apollo without Gabriel - I was too conscious of the absent Gabriel and at Farnham I felt I had completed my journey. This meant a lot to me to see and hear Gabriel era Genesis songs performed and sang live as Gabriel would have. Brian has Gabriel nailed, the voice, the intonation, the costumes, the presence, and allround superhero, he has it all!! 🙂 I am now one very big Crawlers fan and hope to see them again sometime soon. 🙂 That big small word... Thanks 🙂 Alan
Thank you CC for a terrific Farnham performance. My two sons - both teenagers - are now proud to appreciate their dad's favourite music too! After what seemed an uncertain first half some very enjoyable performances were to to be had and the Lamb tracks were particularly well done. I did wonder whether Brian's voice would hold-up but luckily singing seemed to work better than talking. He did seem a bit cheesed-off with the sound mix during the first four or five songs - plenty of hand gestures! Luckily he managed to get into a better mood as the night went on. Overall a wonderful night. Hope to see you all again.
Re : Farnham Maltings Gig. Gob well and truly smacked. Brilliant set list superbly executed both musically and theatrically. Very recommendable and will definitely catch up with you guys again.
Hi, i wanna say that the concert was absolutely brilliant, thanks for playing all the best peter Gabriel stuff, my favourite stuff, especially great firth of fifth. Fantastic thanks
A big thank you to the Crawlers for the gig last night in Farnham, a superb set list to keep this Gabrielite happy:-D I've posted a few photos on the 'Turn it on again' forum in the Tribs section if anyone wants to take a look. Hope to see the Crawlers again soon !! Tony
A brief note to say what an enjoyable show last night at Farnham Maltings, terrific set and hats off to Brian for battling through his virus - his very 'Gabrielesque' voice must be even better when not encumbered in such a manner. Hope it won't be too long before the band returns, will certainly be there.
Just a quick note to say a huge "thanks" for the gig in Farnham last night - a superb set, despite the medical and PC issues! Made even more exhilarating thanks to "Supper's Ready"/ Looking forward to the next one! Regards, Matt
Hi guys, Just want to say thanks for a fab gig last night. :-)As always, the set was delivered with full on energy and passion. Like the last person, I can't wait for the 5 man line up - it's going to be worth waiting for. 😉 See you in Farnham 😐 Sue 8-0 xxx
Hi guys, wow, what a gig at the Red Lion last night! Abso-bloody-fabulous.Two and a half hours plus of brilliant songs. Best set I've seen you do. Really, really enjoyed it. Keep it going guys. When you are back to five members it will be awesome :-). Can't wait to see you in the North West again soon. Cheers, John
Hi 'crawlers, What a night in Kirkby. I was with Dave and I totally agree with him. Supper's Ready was absolute dynamite, delivered with panache and style. I closed my eyes at one point and I could have been in the Seconds Out concert with the real thing. Anyone thinking about going to The Olde Red Lion should not hesitate and buy a ticket now because when word gets around that the Carpetcrawlers are doing Supper's Ready you might struggle to get in. What about the rest of the concert? Brilliant, absolutely brilliant with all four on stage coping with the sound problems by going for it and delivering a fabulous mix of Genesis for the different types of fan. Hope the rest of your concerts go well and hope to see you in Liverpool, whenever and wherever that may be. Regards, Unsy
Hi Guys Still recovering from a fantastic night in Kirkby. The highlight for me was Suppers Ready. Long may it remain in your set. And well done to Brian for coping with the demands of both vocals and guitar. Hope to see you soon back on Merseyside. 😉
Just come back from Mathew St, you kicked ass! Being honest, I wasn't expecting it, Congratulations guys!
8-0OMY GOD MY DREAM HAS BECOME A REALITY,WHEN YOU COMMING TO THE USA. I GREW UP IN ALL THAT MUSIC. SEEN GENESIS 8 TIMES. ONCE WITH PETER GABRIEL....THANK YOU SO MUCH.8-0
Hi All, congratulations on the Friday gig, shame about the illness and technical problems, but the show certainly went on. Will definetly keep an eye on the midlands playlists to try and catch you again. BR's Steve H
Great show 14 Aug 2009 in Bilston, shame about the lack of 2 drums. singer sounds just like Gabriel!
